Open-Cell Spray Foam Insulation in Iowa
Experience the Comfort and Efficiency of Open-Cell Spray Foam in Iowa
Every building loses energy through small gaps, cracks, and hidden openings. While these issues may seem minor, they can have a major impact on comfort, indoor air quality, and monthly utility costs. That’s where open-cell spray foam Iowa solutions make a difference.
Open-cell spray foam is a lightweight insulation material designed to expand into hard-to-reach areas, creating a continuous air barrier throughout your property. Unlike traditional insulation products that may leave gaps or settle over time, open-cell foam conforms to the space around it, helping improve efficiency and comfort from the inside out.
Whether you’re insulating a home, office, pole barn, or renovation project, open-cell spray foam provides an effective and economical solution for Iowa property owners looking to improve building performance.

Why Property Owners Are Choosing Open-Cell Spray Foam in Iowa

Exceptional Air Sealing Performance
Open-cell spray foam expands rapidly after installation, sealing gaps, cracks, and hard-to-reach spaces that often allow conditioned air to escape. This continuous air barrier helps reduce energy waste, improve HVAC efficiency, and maintain more stable indoor temperatures throughout every season.

Improved Indoor Comfort
Maintaining a comfortable indoor environment becomes easier with open-cell spray foam insulation. Minimizing drafts and reducing temperature inconsistencies between rooms, it helps create a more balanced living or working space, allowing occupants to enjoy greater comfort year-round.

Sound Reduction Benefits
Open-cell spray foam is valued for its ability to absorb sound and reduce noise transmission throughout a building. Its unique cellular structure helps dampen airborne sounds between rooms, floors, and walls, creating quieter, more peaceful environments for homes and businesses.

Flexible Insulation Solution
From residential homes and commercial facilities to agricultural buildings and renovation projects, open-cell spray foam adapts to a variety of applications. Its versatility allows it to perform effectively in walls, attics, ceilings, and other areas where improved insulation and air sealing are needed.
Where Open-Cell Spray Foam Delivers the Best Results
Attics and Rooflines

Interior Walls
Interior wall applications benefit from open-cell spray foam’s ability to reduce sound transmission between rooms. It also helps improve comfort, privacy, and overall building performance in residential and commercial spaces.
New Construction Projects

The amount of open-cell spray foam needed will vary based on the building's design, construction type, energy-efficiency goals, and the desired level of insulation performance.

Why Open-Cell Spray Foam Continues to Be a Popular Choice in Des Moines, Iowa
- Helps Reduce Air Leakage: Open-cell spray foam expands to fill small gaps, cracks, and openings that often allow conditioned air to escape. Creating a continuous air barrier, it helps reduce drafts and uncontrolled airflow throughout the building. This improved air sealing can contribute to better indoor comfort, enhanced efficiency, and more consistent temperatures year-round.
- Supports Energy Efficiency: Energy efficiency starts with controlling air movement inside the building envelope. Open-cell spray foam helps minimize energy loss by reducing the amount of heated or cooled air that escapes through walls, ceilings, and other areas. As a result, HVAC systems may operate more efficiently, helping maintain comfortable indoor conditions throughout every season.
- Improves Everyday Comfort: A properly insulated building feels more comfortable in every room. Open-cell spray foam helps reduce temperature fluctuations, limit drafts, and create a more stable indoor environment. Occupants often notice improved comfort levels because conditioned air stays where it belongs, making living and working spaces more enjoyable throughout the year.
- Delivers Long-Term Value: Open-cell spray foam is designed to provide reliable insulation performance for many years. Unlike some traditional insulation materials that can shift or settle over time, spray foam remains in place after installation. Its durability, air-sealing capabilities, and energy-saving benefits make it a valuable investment for residential and commercial properties alike.

My husband and I moved into a new construction home on November 1st. We were not part of the building process; it was a quick move. We realized shortly after moving in that the garage was not insulated. I made some contacts with various insulation companies and Scott Todd was the only one that got back with me and assured me he could get the job done in a couple weeks. Scott stuck to his promise and did a great job. What stands out in my mind the most was how polite, honest and hard working Scott is. I’d definitely recommend his service for your insulation needs.Posted on Google Andrew OswaldTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Scott was great to work with! The came and insulated my shop's attic space and it's done a great job retaining heat!Posted on Google Max MorrisTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Scott and crew did an excellent job of insulating the attic above our garage. We are more than satisfied with his work, and would happily recommend him to others.Posted on Google Gregg GossTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I discovered Precision while scrolling through FB. I’m very happy that I did. Scott arrived at my home within hours- not days, to discuss our insulation project. He provided me with some thoughtful education and advice prior to my decision. In the end, they did a great job and I would gladly use Precision again and highly recommend.Posted on Google Tanner LynchTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Very knowledgeable and seems really passionate about what he does.Posted on Google Mike HughesTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We wanted our garage to maintain a decent temperature during the winters and realized our ceiling was not insulated and heat was escaping as it was onlydrywall screwed into the rafters. Scott, the owner over and gave us several options as how to make it hold the heat in the garage along withadding some more structural stability to the rafters. Here are the options he gave us 1. R49 blown fiberglass 2. Spay foam 2" closed cell foam 3.. Both 1 & 2 blown fiberglass over the cell foam What I really liked about these options is how he said Why don't we start with one and go with the closed cell foam first. Let's see how that works and if you're satisfied we won't need to do anything else. If it's still not holding the heat you want then could come back and put some blown-in fiberglass on top. So far the heater that's set in the garage is set at 50° and it runs 5 minutes every hour where it used to run 5 minutes every 15 minutes in an hour. Note: before we had the insulation installed We also installed green hinges on our garage doors that make our doors air tight because they're spring-loaded. I would highly recommend Scott and Precision insulation and heating if you're looking for an honest, responsive owner who won't oversell you and is reasonably priced and extremely professional. Here are a few pictures of before and after.Posted on Google Cory RiglerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Scott and his crew did an amazing job insulating our attic and the area above our garage using spray foam and blown-in fiberglass. We had plumbing above the garage that would slow down on extremely cold days, along with a few cold spots in the ceiling caused by gaps from poor original installation by the home builder. Since the work was done, those issues are completely resolved. The difference is noticeable, and we honestly wish we had done this sooner. I would highly recommend Scott and his company to anyone looking for high-quality insulation work.Posted on Google Kenneth KingTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had Precision Insulation out to inspect my attic and evaluate temperature issues in my home. Their technician was extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and honest. He used thermal imaging to show exactly where heat loss was occurring and explained everything in a clear, straightforward way that actually made sense. What I appreciated most is that he didn’t try to upsell anything or push unnecessary work. His recommendations were practical and realistic for my situation, and the findings aligned perfectly with what I was experiencing in my home. It’s rare to find a contractor who takes the time to educate you, answers every question, and is genuinely focused on what’s best for the homeowner. Highly recommend Precision for insulation evaluations and honest expertise. I felt confident and informed after the inspection, which is exactly what you want when dealing with home performance issues.Posted on Google Brian SchwartzTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
